The standard treatment schedule is explained below.
· Virus removal therapy is used in combination with interferon therapy.
· Virus removal therapy is normally performed 5 times, with observation of blood test results.
· 50 mL of plasma per kg of bodyweight is filtered in each treatment.
For instance, for a patient weighing 60 kg, 3,000 mL of plasma is filtered.
· Each treatment takes about 2 - 3 hours.
